Peter has been in the English language teaching industry since 1991, starting his English teaching career in Verona, Italy. He then went on to take the RSA University of Cambridge Diploma in EFL with the Bell School. In Summer 1996 Peter took his first management role being appointed as Director of Studies at Stafford House School of English in Canterbury. By 1998 Peter was co-running ASPECT Oxford, a large and modern English language school with up 350 students aged between 12 and 25 years. During his time in academic management he has successfully guided his schools and departments through 4 British Council inspections, an ISO 2001 external audit and an “Investor’s in People” human resource audit. The directors of inlingua Manchester bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from the world of professional football, finance and banking. We believe that together we make a great team. inlingua Manchester is a Trinity College and TOEIC examination centre and received accreditation by the British Council on 1 May 2009. Registrar Katie Hayes looks after the finance, accounts and bookings at inlingua Manchester. Katie’s background is in banking, she worked as a mortgage advisor for the Halifax Plc. She graduated in Italian and French from the University of Westminster in 1994 and has also trained and worked as a teacher of English as a foreign language working in the Czech Republic and Italy. Katie is a really good piano player and loves dancing. ManagerAndrew Lewis ia an experienced business English trainer and a law graduate from the University of Newcastle. Andrew has also lived and In his youth Andrew was an accomplished chess player who represented England for three years running. His other passions include playing 5 a side football as well as being a Manchester United FC fan and season ticket holder. Andrew is currently taking the Cambridge DELTA qualification with the Bell School. Shafa Ullah has got an excellent business background having trained and worked in sales, becoming a Sales Manager as well as running his own successful take away food business before selling it on. As a Chemistry graduate from the University of Reading, Shafa then progressed to train as a secondary school teacher and worked as a lecturer at a college in Birmingham. Shafa spends a lot of his free time helping out in his community. He has been a Community Centre Co-ordinator since March 2006 assisting migrants, refugees and asylum seekers and their families in the areas of education, health and English language skills. All of this experience has made Shafa a very popular and well-respected teacher of business English among our executive clients. TeachersTracey CunnahTracey has a background in sales and hospitality as well as being an English language trainer. Tracey has also set up and run a successful business for 10 years as well as working and living in Italy. During her teaching career Tracey has also worked as a tour guide for foreign adult students visiting the UK. John O’LearyJohn is from Ireland and graduated in Economics from University College Cork. During his teaching career, John has worked in China where as Director of Studies he managed a large team of English language teachers. John has also worked in Ethiopia as a volunteer when he was younger. As well as being a valuable part of the inlingua Manchester team, John is also the lead teacher on our junior closed group programmes and Director of Studies on the junior vacation programme in the summer. |


inlingua Manchester is owned and was founded by Peter Hayes. Peter is a law graduate from the University of Westminster and worked as the Manager of the Business Centre at inlingua Cheltenham for seven and a half years from May 1999 until he left in November 2006 to concentrate full time on inlingua Manchester.
